Beloved, this is the word of the Lord for you today:
"Let us
therefore come boldly to the Throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find
grace to help in time of need." - Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)
Points of Reflection
What burden, what troubles do you desire to bring to the Lord
today in prayer? Do you not know that God is concerned about the things that
concern you? You are not "less than" in the presence of God. The Holy
Spirit announces you as "more than..." in God's presence. Yes, you
are more than a conqueror through Christ who loved us. So, come boldly,
approach the Throne of grace with confidence. The confidence and the courage to
approach God in prayer, comes from Him, through the working of the Holy Spirit,
who dwells in us. God has given us the privileged grace and faith to approach
Him in prayer, without reservation, and with transparency in action, thought,
and speech. We approach His Throne of grace so that we may obtain mercy for our
past and grace for our present and our future. Let us therefore come boldly to
the Throne of grace. We must approach Him with a deep conviction and unwavering
confidence. It must be our decision to approach Him. It must be be our delight
to be in His presence. We come to Him to obtain what will satisfy the longing
of our soul. May the Holy Spirit direct our souls as we approach the Throne of
grace. May we approach, not just with our desires, but chiefly, in knowing the
desires of God concerning us.
Gracious Father, you are beautiful beyond description and too
marvelous for words. You are too wonderful for comprehension. Lord, you are truly
amazing. We approach your Throne of grace in awe of who you are and the amazing
privilege and faith that you have given us to boldly come to you with our many
petitions. Lord, we know that you are concerned about the things that
concern us. Burdens great and small, we humbly approach you with these
requests. Lord, as we come in confidence, help us not to only focus on our
desires, but to seek to know your desires concerning us. Increase our
confidence to trust you more and give us courage and faith to trust in you all
the way. Restore hope to us in our hopeless seasons and give rest for our weary
souls. May your healing balm bring sweet consolation and comfort to our crushed
hearts. Lord, we bring before you also, those who have lost their way.
Graciously direct them back to the pathway of your righteousness. Wrap your
loving arms around the lonely and minister your healing to those who are low in
spirit. Draw us nearer to you. Now let our prayers come before the Throne of
your glory, and let our cry come before the Throne of your mercy. We ask all
these petitions in the matchless and mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Beloved, you are not "less than in the presence of the Lord. Rather, through the love of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, you are "more than!" Yes, more than a conqueror. So, come boldly to the throne of grace and obtain! Reset and expect God's commanded blessings for you today.
